MT Sterling - Private - Investigation
There isn't much of a background that we could obtain due to the fact that the past documents had been burned in a fire in 1940. I guess this building to go back into the 1800's.
When first entering Chris started to recieve a strong smell of "mint" in the front room. After doing a walk through and getting the information on prior events, we set up our equipment. There is complaints of loud knocks - footsteps down the hallway and furthering down the set of steps, a door that gets unlocked from the inside opens and gets slammed shut (being heard from other area than kitchen), and lights being turned on after being turned off.
While a monitor was placed to the lowest level of this place - we broke off in 2 groups - one group at opposite ends. Glenn,Crystal,Chris and Nick (group 1) went to front room.. Nancy,Jennie,Danny and Sara (group 2) took the kitchen.
The use of dowsing rods indicated that group 2 had talked to two different females. One of age of 20-25 (indicating 5 or more children and that something had happened to her out side of the door that keeps getting unlocked and slammed) . The other indication was of a female of age 30-35 (indicated to be widowed).
Later, both groups met back in kitchen. EMF detector read "danger" as to where in group one - it stayed in "safe" mode. Rods indicate this spirit wants to talk to Nick. Temp went from 75 to 66. There is the indication from the rods that this spirit is afraid of men. One of our investigators, bt responce of the rods has asked one of our investigators to leave the room. It is then indicated by the response of the rods that there is a spirit "holding" this spirit here. The spirit "responding" doesn't want to leave but wants the other spirit to leave. . .this place is what this spirit calls "home". There is a great feeling of being watched from the other room. Glenn is now holding the rods and his hands are tingling and "someone" touches his hand after a request for a responce on a question. It is also indicated that this spirit likes the people who are "normally" in the building but is bothered by the new construction that is taking place.
We now move to the next room - Nancy takes the rods. Again, it seems that we are talking to the spirit of the 30-35 year old woman. Rods go to Nick - rods indicate that this spirit likes Nick - his accent (he is from Greece) and overall personality. When in asking the spirit to move the rods to indicate eveyone by name - rods indeed moved DIRECTLY to name called out. When asked to bring the rods back to hit Nancy's arms - indeed BOTH rods went left/right and touched both arms.

This area was investigated by:Nancy,Nick and Danny.
10 minutes into this ivestigation into this part of this place, we were notified that the monitor had just picked up what looked to be like an orb that had flashed across the screen 5 times.
Nancy asked for a sign (knock) should "anyone" be there with them. Indeed, there were two knocks. Then when asking to confirm another sign, "someone" scratched over the microphone twice - heard by all 3 investigators and felt by Nancy - holding the microphone. EMF detector was first in "safe" mode on the walkthough, however, when the questions were starting to be asked - it went into "danger" and stayed there until arriving back to the top flloor where both groups met back in kitchen. Rods in the group1/2 investigation indicated that "yes" spirit had followed us and was "protecting" Nick.
Rods also indicated that this spirit was sad we were leaving - wants the people who occupy this place to acknowledge that she is there. Rods indicated that this spirit is just trying to get thier attention.
We definatley believe that one of these spirits IS an intelligent haunting. Occupants would not like anything done at this point but did want it investigated. We are awaiting potential new information to go back. Future post.
