These are tough ones. I'm assuming they came from an answering machine over a phone line? I can't check voice frequencies because phone lines and such alter the frequencies.
I got a couple of other opinions on these and the consensus seems to be that they could be a lot of things; another signal getting crossed with the original for example. There's a couple of loud sounds that are strange, but could be just some kind of interference.
I'm also assuming that Glenn knows someone named Phil, because he says it in both recordings.
On the message_from_Glenn file, about 1 second in I hear a voice say Haunted, then it seems to get cut off.
So I guess with these I just have to say that it's very likely that the strange sounds are just line interference. But there does seem to be words in these. But coming over a phone line or cell signal, it's too hard to verify anything.
I've cleaned them up a bit -- took the hiss and noise out -- and I'll leave it to you to decide what you think.
